This demo covers the first act of Dice Gambit. By playing this and giving feedback you will help shape the future of the game!

The city of Neo-Talis is under threat as chromatic monsters have swarmed the Adicia power plant! Lead your own noble family of inquisitors as they cleanse the city, grow in power and make friends with eccentric nobles to - hopefully - save the city from disaster.

  • Navigate the battlefield by rolling dice and use them to control your knights in combat
  • Combine dice to unleash your characters’ powerful abilities and decimate your foes
  • Reroll specific dice to be the master of your own fate
  • Adapt to the roll of the dice to optimise your turn and achieve victor
  • Unlock over 100 abilities and passives that completely change how your characters play
  • Attend the Academy and pick different classes each with unique mechanics
  • Shape your characters by freely mixing skills from the different classes however you like
  • Break the game by discovering and creating over the top builds and synergies
  • Earn favour with the extravagant elite of Neo-Talis and forge bonds to discover their secrets
  • Use your newfound allies' influence to open doors and unlock powerful skills
  • Define your role in Neo-Talis by carefully considering which opportunities to pursue
  • Who will be your allies as you rise up to save the city?

  • Shape each playthrough to your liking, with the ability to make it extremely difficult - or wacky
  • Explore the mechanics of the game by finding different passives, abilities and the synergies between them
  • Customize your family to make it truly your own
  • Give feedback to help us shape the game for the final release!

Cool looking game!

I don't like being forced to marry a specific gender... I'd rather choose myself....

(+1)

Well, marry whomever you want? What is stopping you?

(+1)

I loved it, really fun, highly recommend.

In academy, if I click (instead of drag) character, the character will stuck on my mouse.

EDIT: and it seems causing memory? leakage. After I click it and back several times everything is stuck and i can do nothing but alt-f4.

(+2)

Thanks! In the latest build both of these issues should be fixed :)

The game looks so good! I'm really excited for the relase! Will it support Linux as well?

Hey! I wasn't planning on making a linux build seeing as Proton seems to handle everything well; is there a reason why Proton wouldn't be viable in your case?

Thank you for your reply and sorry for my late one. I'm sorry but I don't know what exactly is Proton and if it works or not in my case, but if you didn't planned on making it a linux build, then don't worry ❤️

I just discovered this thanks to you guys, it seems that Proton is a compatibility layer based on Wine, used by Steam to get windows games to work on Linux based systems, it's developed by Valve.  wikipedia article.

Simple Proton setup: Install Lutris or Steam, add the game to Lutris/as non-steam game, launch it through Lutris/Steam. The launcher should handle it for you!

(you can choose either Lutris or Steam, your preference)

Hi, sorry to chime in!

It's very difficult to run Itch Windows game on Steam Deck; Steam just quits and doesn't run it, and Lutris just won't find the existing files it's pointed to.

I did the same procedure I did for other Itch games and while it works well on my Linux Mint desktop, it won't on my Steam Deck.

Maybe it's the ARM CPU, maybe it's Arch Linux, but it's difficult to get them to run.

Could you maybe consider a Linux build?

Hey hey, this game looks really great and I can't wait to play it. I do have a question however, will the game's final release be only on steam or will it be on other digital marketplaces?

(+1)

We hope to bring it to itch as well, but nothing is set in stone right now!

I got a screen that said "reactor exploded return to main menu", but when I click the button to return to the main menu that screen just pops up again. I deleted and reinstalled the game and it still happens right when I start up the game for some reason.

(+1)

Thanks for the report! We'll take a look at it!

(+2)

I've now found and fixed it, the fix will be in for the next build(wednesday)! Sorry you had it happen, but thanks for telling us!

pretty cool, what engine is that ?

It's made in Unity :)

We are currently 3 people developing the game. Discounting a audio person and musician whom are helping us.
We were 5 at one point, so it has been fluctuating :)
